MGM Springfield donates to local workforce development programs
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – MGM Springfield has reinforced its commitment to community support by donating to local non-profits Dress for Success and ROCA.
These organizations offer vital resources to help individuals in the area prepare for workforce entry, including resume building, transferable skills, interview techniques, and appropriate attire for interviews.
Dress for Success and ROCA provide programs that assist individuals in gaining the skills and confidence needed to enter or re-enter the workforce. Talent Acquisition Manager at MGM Springfield Heather Morini expressed her enthusiasm for seeing participants succeed after completing these programs and securing employment.
“Really, really helps those that are trying to get into the workforce or back into the workforce, whether they are starting a career or want to continue with a career,” Morini said. “Sometimes they just need to get back on their feet, and we are here to help them, as well as Dress for Success and ROCA.”
The event helped to empower individuals on their path to success, including hearing from people who started at the bottom, went through the programs, and are now working for MGM Springfield, coming back to help others do the same.
